About Me

Kristen Palmer

Welcome! I'm Kristen, and I recently graduated from MIT with a major in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) and a minor in Chinese.

I am passionate about using technology to better our society, whether that means building affordable medical devices or working to eliminate the algorithmic biases that plague AI and machine learning. I'm also interested in teaching computer science to others. I taught at my high school's Girls Who Code club, volunteered as a CS tutor with CovEducation during 2020, and in summer 2021, I worked with the Caribbean Science Foundation to teach Python programming to students from all across the Caribbean. During January 2023, I traveled with MIT to South Africa and Botswana, where I taught students about Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence.

I also enjoy fencing, eating, reading, drawing (check out my art in the art + design tab!), traveling, and listening to music!
